According to the report, a Taoyuan Man surnamed Lin left his job at Quanta computer in late 2022, but because of financial difficulties, he had evil intentions and falsely claimed to be a current 2023 in February, after entering the factory, he stole a batch of chips and memory by forging a colleague's signature and borrowing an employee's temporary identification card. Within 3 months, he committed 9 burglaries in the same way, the total value of the stolen items was more than nt $9.23 million (2.08 million yuan) .

The indictment said Lin, 29, entered the factory and broke into a metal cabinet with his bare hands, stealing items such as computer CPU and memory, and hiding in his crotch and shoe covers to avoid security scanning. A total of 83 cpus and 833 RAM were eventually stolen, worth as much as NT $9,238,983.

After Quanta reported the theft to the police, the police found 93 pieces of stolen memory, one piece of CPU1 and 100,000 yuan of Stolen Money in the House of Lin based on the conversation records of the stolen items and the internal surveillance footage of Quanta, lin admitted to stealing.

Taoyuan District Prosecutor's office investigated and concluded that Lin was charged with forgery, theft and destruction of security equipment, and the proceeds of crime were confiscated and recovered.
